Guwahati, Sept. 23 -- The elections to the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) yesterday recorded 78.42 percent of voter turnout, a statement issued by the State Election Commission said today.
While Kokrajhar district witnessed the highest 82.27 percent turnout Chirang district recorded 80 .11 percent turnout followed by Baksa with 76.92 percent, Udalguri 75.17 percent and Tamulpur 75.9 percent.
Polling started for the election to 40 seats of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) yesterday at 7.30 am.
