Dimapur, May 8 -- Assam Rifles today handed over 18.8 acres of land, presently under occupation of Assam Rifles Training Centre and School (ARTC&S), 3rd Mile, Chumoukedima, to the Airports Authority of India (AAI) for the Phase-I expansion of Dimapur airport.
The land was handed over at a joint handing over and taking over programme at Dimapur airport, which was attended by Moa Pongen, airport director, AAI, Dimapur airport, Col KD Sharma, CO, No. 2 Bn, ARTC&S, Sentiwapang Aier, secretary (airports, inland waterways, and railways cell), Nagaland transport department, Polan John, DC, Chumoukedima, M Ababe Ezung, OSD, Nagaland transport department, along with other officials.
