Guwahati, June 7 -- The Assam police on Saturday arrested two persons from Assam's Kamrup and Goalpara districts for making offensive and communally sensitive comments on social media, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on his X handle.
"Update on crackdown against anti-national and communal elements, 90 arrests till now. Goalpara Police arrested Sanidul Islam for an offensive social media post on Lord Ram. The Kamrup police arrested Saniur Rahman, alias sunnybhai, for inciting communal discord through SM (social media)," said Sarma on his X handle.
