Guwahati, Aug. 1 -- With the assembly elections just a few months away, the BJP led government in Assam has decided to launch th Orunodoi 3.0 scheme which will benefit over 40 lakh people, aimed at providing monthly financial assistance to eligible, poor families in the state.
Assam Chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has said that Orunodoi 3.0 will be launched on September 17, coinciding with the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Chief minister said that the government is also trying to explore if it can subsidise the LPG cylinder under the Orunodoi scheme.
