Guwahati, Oct. 14 -- The investigation into the death of Assamese singer and cultural figure Zubeen Garg has intensified, with the Special Investigation Team (SIT) zeroing in on a yacht party that may hold crucial clues to the tragedy.
Today, SIT chief and Special Director General of Police (DGP) of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Munna Prasad Gupta, confirmed that two more Assamese NRIs based in Singapore, Abhimanyu Talukdar and Tanmoy Phukan, appeared before the CID in Guwahati for questioning.
According to sources, Tanmoy Phukan had reportedly booked the yacht where the party took place, while Abhimanyu Talukdar, president of the Assam Association in Singapore, had been notified about the event beforehand.
