Guwahati, July 23 -- The Assam Government today incentivised Japanese language learning for the youths of Assam across the state and said that the state government will give scholarship of Rs. 1.5 lakh to each student who pursue the language.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said after a cabinet meeting in Dibrugarh that three companies from Japan have got the necessary clearance to start courses on the Japanese language in Assam .

"The cost of these Japanese languages varies between Rs. 3.5 lakh to Rs. 4 lakh. We have decided to give a scholarship of Rs. 1.5 lakh to each of the students who pursue these courses. Completion of the course will ensure confirmed employment in Japan and in other Japanese companies in India," said the...
