Guwahati, July 18 -- In what might boost the exploration of hydrocarbons in Assam, the Assam cabinet on Friday decided to ease the process of exploration of hydrocarbons and said that companies like OIL, IOC, and Vedanta can now directly make agreement with land owners for exploration.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said this on Friday adding that this will abolish a huge bureaucratic red tape existing in the hydrocarbon explorations in the state.
