Guwahati, Dec. 22 -- Assam is closely monitoring the situation in Bangladesh, particularly the ongoing violence in the neighbouring country and urged everyone to be cautious about the developments in Bangladesh.
Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday said that the government is closely monitoring developments in Bangladesh. "We have seen how the Hindu population is being targeted in Bangladesh, the Hindus are burnt alive in that country," he said expressing concern that the Bangladesh politicians and parliamentarians have often said that the northeast India needs to be cut off and controlled by Bangladesh.
