New Delhi, Feb. 15 -- union Home Minister Amit Shah today said that Assam, which once lacked adequate motorable roads, now has highways where fighter jets too can take-off and land.

Shah, congratulating the people of the important North Eastern state over the new Emergency Landing Facility, said that the development reinforces nation's strength in dealing with emergencies, including disasters.
