Guwahati, Oct. 8 -- Sandipan Garg, the Assam police officer who was arrested in connection with singer Zubeen Garg's death, was suspended this evening.
The Special Investigation Team of the CID probing the death of Zubeen Garg had today arrested Sandipan, a cousin of the deceased singer Zubeen Garg. Sandipan was present on the yacht in Singapore on the fateful day when Zubeen Garg died.
A notification issued by the state home department today confirmed that Sandipan Garg was suspended following his arrest by the CID of Assam police in connection with CID police station case no 18/2025 under section 61 (2)/ 105/106(1)BNS 2023 with added section 103 BNS 2923 upon finding sufficient evidence against him.
