Guwahati, Feb. 16 -- Moving into damage control mode ahead of the state assembly elections, Congress leaders including Gaurav Gogoi, AICC observer for Assam Jitendra Singh and others rushed to the house of former APCC chief Bhupen Kumar Borah on Monday, moments after news of the latter's resignation was flashed in the media.
A former two time MLA from Bihpuria, Borah sent his resignation to AICC top brass Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi and said that he had explained the reasons behind the decision in the letter to the party high command.
Although Borah is yet to confirm anything on his resignation, Jitendra Singh told media later that he is thankful to Borah for reconsidering his decision. In a joint media briefing Borah, however, sa...
