Guwahati, Sept. 12 -- Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today described the Special Investigation Team (SIT) report on Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi's wife and Pakistani national Ali Tauqeer Sheikh as "explosive", noting that the document runs to 96 pages.
Speaking to reporters, Sarma said the government had recovered several sensitive documents related to the sovereignty of the country.
"As soon as the SIT report is placed before the #AssamCabinet, its contents will be made public. The report establishes the role of key actors whose actions are not in India's interest. They include a notorious Pakistani national and the British wife of an @incassam MP, among others," the Chief Minister posted on his X handle.
