New Delhi, Feb. 24 -- The Congress on Monday alleged that Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma was involved in large-scale corruption, including land grabbing, and claimed that nine years of BJP rule had pushed the state's economy into a severe crisis.



Addressing a press conference here, senior Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi, Assam incharge Jitendra Singh, state unit chief Bhupen Kumar Borah, Debabrata Saikia, Rakibul Hussain, Pradyut Bordoloi and Pawan Khera criticised nine years of BJP rule in Assam, calling it corrupt, inefficient, incompetent, rogue, divisive, and hateful. They asserted that the government's failures have pushed the state into a deep crisis.
