Guwahati, Sept. 1 -- Indicating that there will be eviction drives in Barak Valley too, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today said that Bengali Hindus in Assam are the mostsecured now.
He said this while addressing a public rally at Patharkandi in Assam's Barak Valley.
He said that the government is drawing up plans to carry out eviction drives in Barak Valley toclear illegal encroachment.
"There will be eviction in Barak Valley. We are drawing up the plans for this. The influx of illegal foreigners has been on... We are detecting people from the other side almost everyday, we are pushing them back," he said while admitting that the influx of people from other side of theborder is still on.
