Guwahati, Sept. 25 -- Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today appealed to everyoneto co-operate with the Special Investigation Team (SIT) which was instituted to probe the death of Zubeen Garg.

He said that at any stage if the government feels that the SIT is unable to make proper progress, the government will then refer the case to CBI.

The CID team investigating the death of Zubeen has already taken Sekhar Goswami, who was with the singer when the incident took place in Singapore, into custody for interrogation.

The Chief Minister's statement came on Thursday as social media have gone agog with videos from Singapore where Zubeen Garg was present as well as some conspiracy theories and negligence that led to death of Garg.
