Guwahati, Sept. 23 -- Millions across Assam were left in tears today as the state bid farewell to legendary singer Zubeen Garg, who was laid to rest at Sonapur, near Assam's capital, Guwahati.
This morning, Garg's mortal remains were taken to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital for a second autopsy, following which they were transported to the designated cremation ground at Sonapur.
Hundreds of fans followed the funeral procession, while lakhs of people from across the state gathered at the cremation site to witness the final journey of the beloved musician.
