Guwahati, Sept. 16 -- In a shocking incident, an anti corruption raid in Assam has exposed how certain corrupt officers have been transferring lands belonging to Hindus to suspected illegal foreigners.
The expose came yesterday when the Chief Minister's Vigilance Cell raided the houses of a Circle officer in Guwahati and Barpeta, recovering a huge sum of cash and diamond jewellery worth over Rs 1 crore.
CM Vigilance Officials said that cash and jewellery worth over Rs 1 crore have been seized during a raid from the house of Nupur Borah, an Assam Civil Service (ACS) officer of 2019 batch.
