Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 25 -- Asianet has reaffirmed its position as the leader in Malayalam television entertainment, commanding a 64 percent share of prime-time viewership in urban markets. The channel captures nearly two out of every three urban Malayali viewers during peak hours.
A key factor in this success is the strong performance of "Bigg Boss Season 7," which alone contributed to a quarter (24 percent) of Asianet's recent total viewership. The show has registered a 14 percent increase in its weekday audience and a 23 percent growth on weekends compared to the previous season. This makes it the single largest prime-time programme on Malayalam television.
