Astana(Kazakhstan), July 4 -- India's Pungni Tara on Friday delivered a commendable performance on the opening day of the 2025 Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships 2025, clinching the Silver Medal in the 44 kg weight category (Youth Girls).
Pungni registered a total lift of 141 kgs. Her individual lifts included a 60 kg snatch, 81 kgs of Clean & Jerk with her total reaching 141 kgs.
With this performance, Phungani secured Gold Medal in Clean & Jerk and a Silver Medal in Total Lift.
