New Delhi, Jan. 3 -- Prior to its flagging off ceremony, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Saturday inspected the first Vande Bharat sleeper train at the New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS) here today.

The train which is slated to run between Guwahati and Kolkata, is slated to be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, later this month.

Addressing the media after the inspection, Vaishnaw said that Vande Bharat is ready for inauguration after the CRS inspection and subsequent certification.
