Bengaluru, Aug. 12 -- Leader of Opposition R Ashoka today delivered a damning indictment of the Siddaramaiah government in the Karnataka Assembly, holding it directly responsible for the tragic stampede during the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) IPL victory felicitation that claimed 11 precious lives.
Describing the tragedy as a preventable disaster caused by clear negligence and absence of leadership, Ashoka asserted that senior officials, including the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and Home Minister, failed to act on multiple warnings and implement adequate crowd control and safety protocols.
