New Delhi, Feb. 17 -- Delhi's Urban Development Minister Ashish Sood on Monday inspected the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) flats at Bhalswa in North West Delhi and said the government is committed to providing dignified and convenient living conditions to residents of slums and jhuggi clusters across the national capital.
Following the inspection, the minister said around 7,400 EWS flats were constructed at the site but have fallen into a dilapidated condition due to non-allotment over the years.
He said the visit was undertaken to assess the current status of the flats and to initiate reconstruction and repair work wherever required.
