Prayagraj, May 3 -- The ashes of Shubham Dwivedi of Kanpur, who lost his life in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, were immersed in Sangam on Saturday.

Brother Saurabh Dwivedi, along with his wife Aishanya Dwivedi and family members, reached Prayagraj with the urn of ashes. The priest performed rituals for about half an hour on the sand of Sangam. After that, cousin Saurabh immersed the ashes of Shubham Dwivedi (31) in Sangam amid chanting of Vedic mantras.

On being asked, Shubham Dwivedi's wife, Aishanya, could only say with a choked voice that she wants her husband to be given the status of a martyr and terrorists to be eliminated. She said that no such action has been taken by the Centre so far. "I will not get any r...
