New Delhi, Sept. 18 -- Malaysia as chair of the ten-member Asean will host the 47th Asean Summit in Kuala Lumpur, on October 26-28, that is set to see US President Donald Trump in attendance, and also a likely meeting between him and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the sidelines.

The expected meeting between the two leaders comes amid the thawing of the bilateral tensions that had crept in over the last month, ever since President Trump slapped 50 percent tariffs on India, and described India as a "dead economy". However, since then, the two sides have mended fences, and President Trump was the first global leader to call up PM Modi to wish him on his 75th birthday. The two countries are also on way to firming up a Free Trade Agreement.
