As LP area likely to intensify a Cyclonic storm, ICG deploys ship in sea for patrolling, caution fishermen

Chennai, Oct. 19 -- As the Low Pressure Area over the South Arabian sea is likely to intensifyinto a Cyclonic storm promising heavy rains across Tamil Nadu over the next few days, the IndianCoast Guard (ICG) has deployed a ship in sea for patrolling and to caution fishermen and advisethem to return to the shores.

In a post on X, the Defence Ministry said "#CycloneAlert. Low Pressure Area over Southeast ArabianSea is likely to form into a cyclonic storm.""IndiaCoastGuard Ship Abhiraj patrolling coastal waters, relayed weather warning to #mariners& #fishermen at sea, urging fishermen to return to harbour", it said.
