Itanagar, July 11 -- In a major breakthrough against drug trafficking, Arunachal Pradesh's Banderdewa Police successfully foiled an attempt to transport suspected narcotics and seized 27.72 grams of contraband substances during early hours of today.

Acting on intelligence inputs about illegal transportation of suspected NDPS substances from Nagaon (Assam) towards Banderdewa, a police team led by SI Koj Tada, under the close supervision of Naharlagun SDPO Rishi Longdo, and Banderdewa Police Station OC Inspector Kipa Hamak, swiftly launched an operation.
