Itanagar, May 1 -- The Indian Army marked International Labour Day at forward locations in Mechuka Valley, Arunachal Pradesh, honouring the dedication, resilience and contribution of porters who continue to play a key role in sustaining operations in challenging high-altitude areas.
The event was organised by the Spearhead Division of Spear Corps, where more than 50 porters participated in an interaction and tea gathering. The programme served as a platform to acknowledge their vital role in transporting essential supplies and logistics to remote forward posts under challenging terrain and weather conditions.
