Itanagar, Dec. 4 -- In view of the upcoming Panchayat and Municipality elections-2025 in Arunachal Pradesh, the Itanagar Capital Police intensified vehicle checking at the Chimpu Check Post, leading to the arrest of a head constable in possession of suspected heroin, police said on Thursday.
The naka-checking was being carried out by SI (SG) Taba Tate along with CRPF personnel.
During the operation on Wednesday, a person riding a scootyaroused suspicion and was immediately intercepted for questioning.
