Itanagar, March 29 -- In a swift and coordinated effort, the Deomali Forest Division rescued a one-month-old Himalayan black bear cub, which was found stranded in an agricultural field at Borduria village under Deomali sub-division in Arunachal Pradesh's Tirap district.
The rescue operation was initiated on March 26 after local residents, Ponpong Ruttum and Wanghon Lettey, alerted the Forest Department about the distressed cub.
Responding promptly, a team from the Borduria Forest Range led by Range Forest Officer (RFO) Diwang Lowang reached the site and safely took the animal into the custody of the department under the supervision of the Divisional Forest Officer, Deomali Forest Division.
