Itanagar, April 12 -- In continuation of the fight against drug trafficking under Operation Dawn 2.0, Banderdewa Police has foiled two interstate drug smuggling attempts and apprehended five persons, seizing a total of 93.15 grams of suspected heroin in separate operations, Naharlagun Superintendent of Police P Mihin Gambo said on Saturday.

In the first operation, the SP said, acting on credible intelligence, the Banderdewa Police on Friday laid a trap at Banderdewa Check Gate and intercepted a scooter suspected to be carrying illicit narcotics.
