Itanagar, July 21 -- A delegation from Youth Mission for Clean River (YMCR), led by its
chairman SD Loda, called on Chief Minister Pema Khandu at his Secretariat office here today
to discuss pressing issues related to river conservation in Arunachal Pradesh and to advocate
for comprehensive policy and administrative interventions.
During the meeting, YMCR urged the state government to draft an "Arunachal Pradesh River Protection Act"-a legislative framework to define legal, administrative, and community responsibilities for river preservation. The proposed law, the delegation noted, could draw from successful models implemented in other Indian states.
