Itanagar, Aug. 17 -- Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt General (Retd) KT Parnaik has congratulated mountaineer Kabak Yano for successfully scaling Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Russia and Europe.
Yano, who is on a mission to complete the Seven Summits Challenge, reached the 18,510-feet summit at 5:20 AM (Russian time) on August 16 (Saturday).
The Governor, who had earlier flagged off Yano for her expedition, lauded her determination and expressed confidence in her ability to accomplish the Seven Summits goal.
"Her extraordinary achievement reflects the true 'Spirit of Arunachal' and will inspire countless youths, especially young girls, to embrace challenges with courage and resilience," Parnaik said.
