Itanagar, March 19 -- In a significant breakthrough, the Seijosa Police in Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday arrested one Umesh Hazarika from Noapama village for allegedly orchestrating a large-scale fraudulent National Postal Savings Scheme scam in collaboration with his father, Ghono Kanta Hazarika, who was arrested earlier in the same case.
Pakke Kessang SP Tasi Darang said, the arrest was made following an FIR filed by a complainant, Nyaken Nomdir of Namorah village, Pakke Kessang, leading to the registration of a case under Sections 316(4)/318(4)/115(2)/351(2) of the BNS on August 14, 2024 at Seijosa Police Station.
