Itanagar, Jan. 12 -- Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt General (Retd) KT Parnaik on Monday interacted with officers and all ranks of the 17 Mountain Division during its 65th Raising Day celebrations at the Army Cantonment, Gangtok.
Addressing the Sainik Sammelan, the Governor underlined the Division's historic and strategic responsibility as the guardian of the North Eastern region and the sentinel of the Siliguri Corridor, describing it as one of the nation's most sensitive and vital frontiers.
