Itanagar, Feb. 7 -- Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) KT Parnaik today emphasized the need for further strengthening border road infrastructure, describing it as a vital lifeline for national security as well as for the socio-economic development of frontier communities.
The Governor made these remarks while interacting with Director General of Border Roads (DGBR) Lt Gen Harpal Singh, who called on him at Lok Bhavan, Itanagar.
During the meeting, they held detailed discussions on the progress of border road projects in the State and their crucial role in improving connectivity and the quality of life of people living in remote and border areas.
