Itanagar, Feb. 8 -- Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Sunday announced that the state government is working towards establishing a dedicated university for indigenous studies to preserve, document and promote Arunachal Pradesh's indigenous faiths, cultures and knowledge systems.

The proposed university, to be developed in collaboration with institutions such as the International Centre for Cultural Studies (ICCS), Research Institute of World's Ancient Traditions, Cultures & Heritage (RIWATCH), Roing, and the Indigenous Faith & Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh (IFCSAP), will focus on research, documentation, education and curriculum development related to the State's indigenous traditions.
