Itanagar, Feb. 15 -- Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General (Retd) K.T. Parnaik has extended his greetings to the people on the eve of Oriah Festival of the Wancho community of the state's Longding district.
He expressed hope that the festivity of Oriah will promote goodwill, peace and communal harmony in the state.
In his message, the Governor said that Oriah festival is observed to invoke the blessing of the Almighty 'Rangwan'. At the same, it facilitates us to safeguard our age-old traditions and good practices.
The celebration brings about emotional integration, brotherhood and amity amongst our citizens which bestows prosperity and happiness in the society, Parnaik said.
