Itanagar, Nov. 24 -- Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt General (Retd) KT Parnaik has extended his warm greetings to the people of the State in general and to the Nocte community in particular on the eve of the latter's Chalo Loku festival.

He expressed hope that the cherished festival would continue to spread the spirit of peace, harmony and brotherhood across the State.

In his message, the Governor said that traditional tribal festivals hold deep social and spiritual significance in the lives of indigenous communities. They provide an opportunity to practise and celebrate living traditions, nurture respect for elders and nature, and reinforce enduring values that bind society together.
