Itanagar, Jan. 23 -- Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein has attended the concluding day of the three-day 10th Pangsau Pass International Festival 2026 at Nampong, describing the historic Pangsau Pass as a symbol of sacrifice, shared heritage and emerging opportunities for peace and progress.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Chief Minister said that several indigenous communities of Arunachal Pradesh, including Singphos, Tangsas, Tai Khamtis, Tikhaks, Abors (now known as Adis), Noctes and others, played a vital role in the construction of the historic Stilwell Road (Ledo Road) during World War II.
