Itanagar, Sept. 8 -- Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu today reviewed the progress of the ambitious Frontier Highway project with officials from the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways at Ziro, Lower Subansiri district, on the sidelines of the Cabinet Aapke Dwar initiative.
Describing the highway project as a "game-changer", Khandu said the strategic road along Arunachal's border with Tibet will not only strengthen border security but also unlock new opportunities in business, tourism, and connectivity.
The Frontier Highway is a 1,748-km-long road that will stretch from Bomdila in the west to Vijaynagar in the east, running parallel to the Line of Actual Control (LAC). The project'sestimated cost is Rs 42,000 crore.
