Arunachal CM condoles landslide deaths, urges people to avoid non-essential travel
Itanagar, May 31 -- Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has expressed deep sorrow over the reported deaths of at least nine individuals - seven in East Kameng district and two in Ziro Valley - due to massive landslides triggered by incessant monsoon rains since the last few days across the state.
In a statement issued on Saturday evening, the Chief Minister conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls. "My heart goes out to the departed souls. Our prayers are with them," he said.
