Itanagar, July 3 -- In a shocking incident, a 19-year-old man armed with a machete allegedly attacked innocent bystanders this afternoon at Naharlagun's C-Sector, leaving two civilians, including a woman, injured.

The incident occurred around 1.15 pm and prompted a swift response from the Naharlagun Police.

Naharlagun Superintendent of Police Dr Nyelam Nega said that acting on verbal information, a police team led by Inspector K Dev, Officer-in-Charge of Naharlagun Police Station, quickly reached the scene. The accused, who attempted to flee, was apprehended after a brief chase at Pachin road.
