Itanagar, Feb. 5 -- A couple of days after a tiger attack claimed the life of a policeman, the carcass of a sub-adult tigress was recovered from the Mayudia area along the Roing-Anini road in Arunachal Pradesh, a forest official said on Thursday.

According to Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary, Mito Rumi, the carcass was found on Wednesday during a search operation launched to locate the big cats involved in the incident. The tiger was found with a gunshot injury.
