Itanagar, July 26 -- In a major breakthrough, Arunachal Pradesh's Roing Police have cracked a serial POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) case involving multiple instances of sexual assault, leading to the arrest of a 26-year-old accused, identified as Joni Perme, a resident of Mobang Parbuk village.
The accused had reportedly been targeting women and minor girls, luring victims to secluded areas while using a motorcycle and concealing his identity with a helmet. His actions had caused deep concern in the community over recent weeks.
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) was constituted under the supervision of SP Ringu Ngupok, which conducted a meticulous investigation using both technical surveillance and field intelligence....
