Thembang, May 22 -- A public meeting-cum-hearing was convened on Thursday at Thembang Fortified Village in West Kameng district, which is currently on UNESCO's final tentative list of World Heritage Sites.
The meeting, held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner of Dirang, Choiki Dondup, aimed at discussing various measures for the conservation and development of the historic site, official sources said.
In his address, ADC Dondup urged the Local Consultative Committee (LCC) to prepare a comprehensive master plan in consultation with the Research Department, ensuring that all guidelines are meticulously followed.
