Itanagar, March 27 -- In a significant breakthrough, the Naharlagun Police successfully rescue three minor girls from Dibrugarh, Assam, on March 25, bringing relief to their families.
The operation was conducted in connection with the Naharlagun PS case registered under Section 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023.
The rescue mission was carried out by a team from Naharlagun Police Station, led by Inspector Krishnendu Dev, along with Lady SI B Doke, Constable Debojit Borah, and Lady Constables Kime Rija and Khoniya Sumnyan.
The three minors were reported missing from Nyigam Colony, Naharlagun, in August 2024. Upon recovery, they were produced before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Dibrugarh.
