Itanagar, Aug. 22 -- The Women Police Station (WPS), Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh's East Siang district, has registered a case of child labour and cruelty after rescuing an 8-year-old minor girl, who had been engaged as a caretaker at a residence.
Acting on a telephonic complaint received on August 17, the police, in coordination with the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) and District Child Protection Officer (DCPO), conducted a swift raid and rescued the child. The accused, identified as Toli Pertin of PP Apartment, Pasighat, was apprehended on the spot, police said today.
