Itanagar, Aug. 29 -- In a shocking incident, a 13-year-old boy was shot near Sapna Engineering Garage, Model Village, Naharlagun, on Wednesday last, police said on Friday.
Naharlagun Superintendent of Police (SP) Dr Nyelam Nega said that the victim, identified as Andhreaus Enduwar, had gone to meet his cousin, Hiren, a mechanic at the garage, when the accused, Jiten Siyum (35), son of Tajit Siyum, suddenly drew a firearm and shot him on the left hip while his Mahindra Xylo (AS-16B-1999) was being repaired.
He said that though Siyum initially assisted in shifting the injured boy to TRIHMS Hospital, he later absconded. A case was registered at Naharlagun Police Station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arm...
