Itanagar, July 29 -- In a successful anti-narcotics operation, Arunachal Pradesh's Banderdewa Police has seized 39.92 grams of suspected heroin from a vehicle during a late-night interception on Monday.

The operation was based on a tip-off regarding the illegal transportation of narcotics from Assam into Arunachal Pradesh, police sources said on Tuesday.

Acting swiftly, a police team led by SI Koj Tada, along with ASI S K Jha, head constable T Bomdom, and others, along with personnel from B/138 Battalion CRPF, intercepted a white Honda Elevate (AR27-2223) at Banderdewa Checkgate at around 9:30 pm.
