Itanagar, March 4 -- In a significant step towards understanding and preventing gastric cancer, Arunachal Pradesh Health & Family Welfare Minister Biyuram Wahge launched the Gastric Cancer Epidemiology and Risk Study at Gyati Takka General Hospital (GTGH), Ziro, on Tuesday.

The four-day gastric cancer screening program, set to run from March 5 to 8, is being organized by Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI), Guwahati, in collaboration with the State Cancer Society of Arunachal Pradesh, and GTGH, and supported by Lower Subansiri district administration and the Community Advisory Board (CAB).
